Olympic fencer drops cellphone during competition

An Olympic fencer from France dropped his cellphone in the midst of a competition after leaving it in his pocket.

Video shared by NBC Sports shows Enzo Lefort’s phone falling out of his pocket as he faced off against Germany’s Peter Joppich.

Lefort can be seen attempting to dodge Joppich’s strikes before stepping off the mat as his cellphone flew from his pants pocket.

The match was stopped briefly as Lefort reclaimed his phone and handed it off to someone outside the competition area.
